we can put a simple forum on the site but they take quite a lot of looking after - i would be inclined to get more people using Facebook first to see if there is any demand. We can do more facebook integration. We can put a gallery on the site where people can upload pics - can also open up events so people can submit there. Also we can add comments to news. but a forum looks awful if noone uses it and 90% of all forums languish in nopostland.
is it possible to make the group a forum from the site? or make a forum on the site...and add pics / gallery...just want to say that the website design is Ace you boy done good! what was the company again? www.altcom.co.uk

Thanks to all who came last night. Special thanks to Jon and Syd (Yer Blues) for their superb performance and good humour and to Dave Sugarbeet for fiddling about.
Web purchase of Washboard....no turn up? am searching for one in junk shops so if anyone has one ...bring it anyway just in case mine does not arrive.
can't make the launch night but may well join you soon - are very noisy tenor saxes allowed?
OK. We have a" house" washboard courtesy of Mr Amps.
The Post is not available anymore?
Does anybody have a washboard they can bring for a bit of lap top percussion?
The House Band has a name - "Yer Blues"
I like the idea Melee George Melee and Breakaway rooms upstairs. Eric
Jon and Syd are the house band hosts. They'll kick the evening off with a set and then musicians can join them. If it get's busy we'll operate a list to avoid a melee!
www.backroom-blues-sessions.com - up and live. Takes a feed from this Facebook Group as well.
Someone asked a question about drummers. The room is too small for a kit but if you have a washboard or something that will work in a small space and isn't to loud let us know.
Website is up and just being finished off. Can someone find a better pic for this group page - the one up here doesn't look very appealing. The poets Cafe really doesn't look like that! If you want to see work in progress you can go to www.backroom-blues-sessions.com username: backroomblues password: sessions10. We are still writing copy and getting pictures together.
Website coming soon - mockup at http://www.altcom.co.uk/projects/mocknotes/mocknotes.php?mock=backroom_blues3_MN¢ered=1 add some video, perhaps some lessons (we can provide cameras and editing), info on blues around the county and perhaps further afield, maybe an interview with the odd visiting palyer and soul food recipes from Keith at the Poet's Cafe - if we make it interesting and current people might want to visit it.....suggestions for content gratefully received.
Come to the first of the Backroom Blues Sessions at the Poets Cafe, Trereife House, Penzance and enjoy some classic blues with the house band and then join in for the jam set and get your mojo working. Hot soul food and drink are on the menu so you can make an evening of it. Entrance is free but a donation for the 'house band hat' is desirable. We'll be posting more information here and on the website (http://www.backroom-blues-sessions.com) as soon as it is up and running. You can find the Potes Cafe on Google Maps http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?num=1&t=h&hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=102303955200552039820.000480e5f4fb7b637a9f5&ll=50.113258,-5.561442&spn=0.006027,0.01929&z=16&iwloc=000480e5f9fc482ad7944
