No spitting - No cussing - No guns at the bar

The format for the backroom blues sessions is a little different to the classic free for all Jam Night. To provide some structure a guest musician, or what passess for a house band,  lead the evening off .  Musicians who turn up are encouraged  to join them throughout the evening.  Just turn up with your instrument. The idea is to provide a little structure to stop it  turning into the dreaded open mike night / blues karaoke.

We'll try and publish regular songs and some references on the website in advance so you can see what songs to focus on so you can dust off your Hoochie Coochie man in advance.  You can make requests on the facbook page (join the group here).  If you have a song print a couple of copies of the lyrics and chords so others can pick it up and join in (simples 12 bar excepted!)

Amps v Acoustic

Acoustic is preferred.  The room is small and electric instruments must balance with the acoustic musicians. This has proved problematic so we prefer to keep it acoustic.
